It has herewith lost its blessing, dedication, and consecration. It can no longer be used for divine worship. It is hereto relegated to profane but not sordid use (c. 1222 §2). The last Sunday Mass celebrated at our current church will be the 5:30 PM Mass on February 20. At the end of our Farewell Mass we will gather the liturgical items, linens, candlesticks, and sacred images, and process out of the church.
