There have been numerous and public calls recently by abortion activist groups to organize disruptions at Catholic Masses across the nation in response to the leaked decision from the Supreme Court regarding Roe v. Wade.
From the Pastor: I want to thank you for your patience as we continue to improve our procedures and practices, adjust for the large crowds, and work out the bugs that our church, like any new building, has. A number of you have passed on helpful comments about the sound system in particular, and I want to describe what is happening and update you about what we are doing to address your concerns:

I, the undersigned Bishop of Fort Worth, do hereby pronounce, declare, and decree that the parish church of Saint Philip the Apostle, located at 1897 West Main Street, Lewisville, Texas, is no longer a sacred place for divine worship. It has herewith lost its blessing, dedication, and consecration. It can no longer be used for divine worship. It is hereto relegated to profane but not sordid use (c. 1222 §2). This being effective on 22 February 2022.
The last Sunday Mass celebrated at our current church will be the 5:30 PM Mass on February 20. At the end of our Farewell Mass we will gather the liturgical items, linens, candlesticks, and sacred images, and process out of the church.
I write to you amidst what public health professionals have identified as the peak of the rapid spread of the COVID-19 Omicron ("O") variant along with the height of the flu season in North Texas.
During the past several months I have received questions from members of the Catholic faithful in the Diocese of Fort Worth both directly and indirectly as communicated to me through our priests, deacons, and school administrators regarding other issues of morality around the vaccine for COVID-19 and the possibility of offering religious exemptions to mandates issued by employers and government offices at the federal, state, and local levels.
Unfortunately, we have had to put the Countdown to the Grand Opening on hold. Every week, the construction industry continues to see new shortages of skilled labor and materials, and longer lead times in manufacturing...
Thanks to generous donors, an antique altar is being given a new life in our church! During the summer, the altar has been carefully restored, and is now ready to be moved to the church.
