The Diocese of Fort Worth has been chosen to host the National V Encuentro, a Catholic rally of Hispanic ministry in the United States. The goal of the V Encuentro is to strengthen and promote the integration of our Hispanic Catholic community with all ethnic groups in the Church. We as a Parish have been asked to participate in the discernment of the specific actions required for achieving this goal, and report our findings to the V Encuentro event organizers.
Deacon Ramiro and Hilda are looking for volunteers to form our Parish V Encuentro Discernment Committee. Volunteers will be asked to meet twice per month for the next five months for direction on conducting specific surveys and evaluation of results, addressing the integration of our local Hispanic community. Our findings would be shared with the diocesan and national V Encuentro organizers. The Parish delegates to the V Encuentro in October 2018 would be chosen from these volunteers.
If you are interested in participating, please e-mail Deacon Ramiro at [email protected]. There are no specific requirements for volunteers, but we have been asked to assemble the team from a cross-section of all age groups, ethnic backgrounds, and life activities within the Parish.
