Before we enter the most solemn time in the Church year, we want to give you all a quick heads-up about the Parish Festival, now just one month away!
Mark your calendars for St. Philip Fest on Saturday, April 29
We are again planning to hold the Fest on the site of our future church, that is, at 5201 Cross Timbers Road, Flower Mound. If the weather is uncooperative, we will move the Fest back to our current campus as we did last year.
We have a day of fun and activities planned
The Festival opens at 11:00 AM, and features a food truck park, free carnival games, art fair, and a special exhibit: the outline of the future church will be traced on the location where it will be built!
Mass will be celebrated on the Land
The 4:00 PM Saturday Evening Mass will be celebrated on the Land at the close of the Festival. There will be no 4:00 PM Mass at the Church unless bad weather compels us to move St. Philip Fest indoors.
A special guest will join us
Maurice Moon, our parishioner and a seminarian of the Diocese of Fort Worth, will assist at our Mass on the Land as a newly-ordained deacon! He will give his first homily at this Mass, so you won't want to miss this occasion!
