Question: One of you suggested that we solve the issue of outgrowing our current church campus by simply dividing into two parishes.

Answer: The Diocese of Fort Worth has completed several demographic studies in recent years. On the basis of this research, they have formed a strategic plan for the whole Diocese which shows that the best use of our resources and priests is to make one large parish which will be capable of serving the people in our rapidly-growing area. In addition, the community of St. Philip the Apostle is strong and tight-knit; we cannot think of dividing into two separate parishes any more than a family thinks of dividing itself into two groups.
