Lisa Toretti, our parish Business Manager, will retire at the end of June 2018 after 19 years of service to this parish. Please join us in thanking Mrs. Toretti for her dedication and wishing her well in her new role (read her letter below to find out what that will be!):
“I have been a part of the parish staff for the last 19 years, beginning in March 1999 as Bookkeeper, then Business Manager, and have truly enjoyed my job. As a family, we have been here even longer. During my time here, I have seen the parish grow from a relatively small community to one that is bursting at the seams. All three of my children have grown up in this parish and have celebrated their sacraments here; my grandson was recently baptized at St. Philip.
After much prayerful consideration, I have decided to leave my job at the end of June. Being a grandmother has taught me a whole new meaning to the word love. So it is with mixed emotions that I leave my position here to take on a whole new venture of babysitting my grandson so his mom can continue her career as a teacher. I will also get to spend time with a new granddaughter who is due very soon.
I will always cherish my years at St. Philip as an employee, as I have made many lasting friendships. Thank you to everyone who has made these last 19 years so enjoyable. You will be forever in my prayers.” ~Lisa Toretti
