Knights of Columbus Council 9884, the Pope Paul VI Fourth Degree Assembly, and the Lady Knights will be offering five $600 scholarships to graduating Catholic Seniors who plan to attend a two-year or four-year college. At least three of these scholarships will be given to seniors from each of the local high schools (Lewisville High School, Marcus High School, and Flower Mound High School).
The remaining two scholarships may be given to graduating Catholic seniors from ANY high school or who are homeschooled, provided they fulfill at least one of the following conditions:
1) They are a member of SPY (St Philip Youth) OR 2) Their parents attend St. Philip’s or Our Lady of Lebanon parishes OR 3) Their father is a member of Council 9884
Application forms are available from Youth Director Victoria Hamaty, in the parish office, and in the counseling offices at Lewisville High School, Marcus High School, and Flower Mound High School. Applications are also available online at kofcknights.org/CouncilSite/?CNO=9884 in the “News and Announcements” section.
Applications must include a list of school and church service and a short essay on the topic, “The Need to Serve.” Deadline for applications is on or before January 14, 2019. For more information, email [email protected].
