Are you looking for a way to enrich your family’s Lenten experience this year? You can make a difference to a foster child in the Denton County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program by giving them an Easter Basket. The St. Philip’s Women Club is sponsoring such a project again this Easter. All you have to do is to stop by the GIVING TREE in the Narthex the weekend of February 13-14, take a CASA egg off the tree, purchase items (a flyer suggesting some items will be available), and then simply return the lovingly-made Easter Basket the weekend of February 27-28. The CASA eggs will be identified by gender and age group. Members of the Women’s Club will even have some baskets to help you get started! Last year, St. Philip’s Families donated Easter Baskets to more than 200 foster children in the CASA program. This year, if possible, CASA could use 318 baskets.
