Divine Face Organization
The Divine Face Organization was founded in 1992 by Fr. Gerard Mary Anyanwu to serve the poor and needy in Ihitteafoukwu, Nigeria, Imo State. The mission is two-fold: first, to meet the basic needs of the region's poorest; second, to help break the chain of poverty through high-quality Catholic education.
Members are concerned with the plight of our brothers and sisters in Haiti, and work to support our sister parish, St. Therese, in Boileau. Regular pilgrimages, on-going projects, continuing education, and fund raising (Christmas in July, Haiti Bowls during Lent, coin box collection in October). Friendly Visitor Program
The Friendly Visitor Program matches parishioners who would benefit from meeting fellow members of the parish with Friendly Visitor Volunteers. The purpose of the Friendly Visitor Program is to encourage social interaction and fellowship among parishioners, especially those who may be at risk of feeling lonely or isolated. Although each case is unique, volunteers generally make visits on the average of once a week for one hour. Go to the Friendly Visitor page for more information.
Marriage Encounter Ministry
Turn a good marriage into a great marriage. A support group composed of couples who have attended a Marriage Encounter Weekend; regular meetings. Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekends are presented throughout the year in both the Fort Worth and Dallas diocese. Contact Ken and Cathy Gelzleichter at 972-219-9027.
Provide short-term help to parishioners in need. Varied projects include making meals (or serving food) for a funeral reception or for families of those hospitalized. Contact Connie Gourlie.
Ministers of Care
Bring prayer, compassion, Scripture, and Holy Communion to the sick and homebound of our community in hospitals, nursing homes, care facilities, or private homes. Training provided, plus monthly meetings and annual workshop. Contact Mary Beth Fitzgerald or Sandi Rockne.
Networking a New Beginning
Support group for unemployed and underemployed parishioners. We also encourage people to attend if they are aware of job openings where they are employed. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7 PM in classroom 2 in the Ministry Center Religious Education wing. Contact Mary Beth Fitzgerald or Sandi Rockne.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Do you like to knit or crochet? If you answered yes, then you should consider this ministry making prayer shawls for others. We make prayer shawls, by hand, with love and prayers, for those in our parish in need of comfort. Volunteers meet monthly to pray, talk, stitch, and collect shawls. Members travel weekly to Denton County Jail to share the Sunday readings and the Eucharist with those confined in prison. Training provided as to prison procedures and in preparing for the Sunday Celebration in the Absence of a Priest. Contact Mary Beth Fitzgerald or Sandi Rockne.

Sponsor Couple Ministry
One of the ways to prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage, Sponsor Couples meet with engaged couples to discuss the many aspects of Christian marriage, and to share with them insights based on their own marital experience. Contact Susan Sandles.
