To Prepare for a Wedding at St. Philip the Apostle
Preparation for the Sacrament of Matrimony is a nine-month to one-year process that includes meetings with the Marriage Coordinator (inventory, Natural Family Planning, rehearsals, etc.), Pre-Cana, Fully Engaged Sponsor Program, meeting with the Pastor or Deacon, and meeting with the Director of Music Ministry. The parish provides Marriage Prep Classes on a regular basis. Contact Susan Sandles.
The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament."
Important Note: do not reserve any party venue or make other wedding arrangements before speaking with the church's representative.
If you were married outside of the Church and would like to have your marriage blessed, please contact Susan Sandles.
