When are the Giving Garland gifts due?
Please return all gifts to the Narthex no later than Sunday, December 11. Please attach the Giving Garland gift tag securely to each item to help us with the gift sorting and delivery.
Should I wrap the gifts?
- Please do not wrap any of the gifts.
- We would appreciate you putting all of the Christmas Gift Basket items together (unwrapped) into one container. This container does not have to be a basket… it could be a simple gift bag, plastic tote, or some other reusable container. Feel free to see the sample Christmas gift baskets on the table in the Narthex and on the web site.
Who are the gifts for?
All of the names of our gift recipients are kept confidential. However, we thought you might want to know where we get the gift requests from:
- Parishioners in need (primarily due to unemployment, underemployment or medical issues)
- CCA – Christian Community Action
- Salvation Army
- Catholic Charities
Who are the gift baskets for?
- People who are unable to attend Mass on a regular basis and are brought Communion by our Ministers of Care. They may live in a facility (nursing home, memory care unit, assisted living or senior independent living) located in the Lewisville/Flower Mound/Highland Village area, or their own home.
- Registered parishioners who are widowed (men and women).
How many tags can I take?
You are free to take as many as you would like. However ,we do ask that you make sure you bring the requested gift(s) back for every tag you take. Each gift tag represents an actual person… and we are committed to ensuring that each person we represent will get a Christmas gift.
What should I buy?
Please purchase what is listed on the gift tag that you have selected. See specific notes below regarding Christmas gift basket tags.
