Prerequisites for First Penance/First Communion Preparation for children age 7 (2nd Grade through 5th Grade)
A student preparing for First Penance/First Communion must be baptized in the Catholic Church and be seven or older, usually in 2nd grade. If your child is seven, or in 2nd grade-5th grades, and would like to prepare for First Penance and First Communion, then please enroll them online.

If your child is 2nd grade or older and has not received Baptism, please contact Kim Carr to set up an in- person meeting or a phone call prior to enrollment.
Sacramental Preparation for First Penance and First Holy Communion for 2024-25
Preparation for First Penance and First Communion is completed by children and parent(s) with a combination of a Parent Meeting, Home Study, and In-person Parent/Child classes.
2024-25 Class dates:
After completing this sacramental preparation during each group, children will receive their First Confession, and they may be able to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion in May or June after being assessed. A copy of the assessment will be handed out at the Parent Meeting.
All in-person Parent/Child classes and meetings take place on Sunday in St. Joseph's Hall and are from 2:30-3:30.There are also home study materials for each sacrament that must be completed.
More information will be discussed at the mandatory Parent Meeting. One adult must attend each Parent/Child class with your child.

Mandatory Parent Meeting- January 26 at 2:30 in St. Joseph's Hall
Parent/Child Classes- Feb. 2, Feb. 23, March 23, March 30
First Communion Masses- May 17 at 4:00, May 18 at 9:00, 11:00, and 1:00
June 21 at 4:00, June 22 at 9:00, 11:00, and 1:00
