George Baker is currently Adjunct Associate Professor of Organ at Southern Methodist University in Dallas TX, where he teaches improvisation. He will present a variety of organ works including his own composition, Prelude on the Sanctus of Mass VIII, which was commissioned by St. Philip for the inaugural recital on our organ, Casavant, op. 3946







Messe cum jubilo, op. 11 is written for a men's chorus and orchestra. This performance will feature a collaboration between members of the St. Cecilia Choir from St. Philip and the professional ensemble Voices of Fort Worth. The choir will be directed by Dr. Jerome Bierschenk and accompanied by Dr. Katherine Schmitz on organ.
