Preparations are underway for a new capital campaign, “Forward in Faith,” which will kick off later this year with the goal of building a parish life center and retiring debt.
We are excited to announce that we have now reached a new milestone with the formation of a campaign leadership team from a group of talented and dedicated volunteers. Our deepest gratitude to our new chairs and cabinet members for their willingness to serve our parish as together we prepare to move “Forward in Faith” in 2023!

This is an exciting time in the history of St. Philip! Over the last few months we conducted a planning study, and we would like to thank all of you who participated. The study concluded with very positive results and helpful feedback.
Based on the high level of support among parishioners, St. Philip’s will be moving forward with a capital campaign, with the goal of retiring debt and building a Parish Life Center.
We will be sharing more about the campaign and project details during the coming months, including exciting plans for our campus. I appreciate you and all of our parish community for your unwavering support as we take the next steps to further our mission at St. Philip.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Raymond McDaniel, Pastor

The road from Lewisville to our new Flower Mound campus is only a few miles, but it has taken years of prayer, planning, and construction to make the move. It also has taken the inspiring generosity of the people of St. Philip's. The design, sitework, construction, and furnishing of Phase I of our Master Plan was a total investment of $18.1 million, and parishioners raised an incredible $9.3 million of this amount through the Together in Christ Capital Campaign. With the use of parish savings and the proceeds from our former campus sale, our debt for Phase I is now only $2.8 million, far less than what the Diocese approved for our project. A full breakdown of our financial journey to the new St. Philip's is presented in the Sunday Bulletin for August 14, 2022.
Although challenges remain, we’re proud of what has been accomplished in a few short years (we have a beautiful new spiritual home!) and grateful that we’re in such a solid position to move forward.
Again, we are pleased with our current financial position, and we give thanks first to God for His blessings throughout this endeavor. We also give thanks for all of you, who have been awe-inspiring stewards of what God has given you. The parish has carefully stewarded the gifts you have shared with St. Philip, and we now have the opportunity to accomplish so much more!
We moved to a new campus to allow our parish to continue growing, and we are growing! As we evaluate our existing needs and plan for future growth, we will be undertaking a Planning Study this fall. The Steier Group, a national development company that we worked with in 2017, will conduct the study and seek the input of every parish family. The study will give us direction on how much we can aim to raise through a capital campaign, and for which projects.
I am asking each of you to participate in this survey, and help in the critical planning effort for our parish. Let us go forward together on our journey, praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the next steps for our parish home.
Rev. Raymond McDaniel, Pastor
