Social Outreach Brunch and Learn
Saturday, September 2
9-11:30 AM in St. Joseph Hall
Begins with 9 AM Mass in the Church
What is the church doing to end poverty in our area? What does poverty look like in our part of the world? If you have ever asked these or similar questions, please plan to attend Social Outreach's first ever Brunch and Learn. This is an opportunity for those currently involved in outreach volunteering or those interested in serving to refresh and reorient through prayer, shared fellowship, and continued learning. The morning will start with 9 AM Mass, followed by a brunch social in St. Joseph Hall with a special presentation by Catholic Charities Fort Worth.
Catholic Charities Fort Worth is the social services arm of the Diocese of Fort Worth. Their mission is to go beyond providing just immediate crisis relief; they have created research-backed solutions to end poverty and transform lives. During their "kNOw Poverty Hour" presentation, you will gain a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges facing our local community and CCFW's poverty ending solutions.
If you are unable to attend 9:00 Mass, please plan to come directly to St. Joseph Hall at 9:45.
