Our Children’s Choir is expanding this year! We have added two groups to enhance the sacred music program of our parish:
St. Nicholas Preparatory Choir
Intended for children with little to no musical experience. The choir will focus on learning to read music through hymns, mass-parts, and bench-mark anthem/motets. The choir is open to incoming 2nd graders – 4th graders. The choir rehearses weekly and sings monthly at the 9:30 am Mass. Contact Andrew Kenney to join!
St. Gregory Boys’ Choir
Upper elementary/middle school boys with advanced music ability and unchanged voices are encouraged to join. The choir will focus on a greater variety of sacred music with a more rigorous rehearsal and singing schedule. The choir rehearses weekly and sings at least bi-monthly at the 9:30 am Mass. Entrance is based on audition/musical assessment (CLICK HERE to sign up for a 10 minute Audition/Musical Assessment session ).
St. Cecilia Girls’ Choir
A complementary ensemble to the St. Gregory Boys’ Choir. The St. Cecilia Girls’ choir is open to middle school through high school girls with advanced music ability. Entrance is based on audition/musical assessment (CLICK HERE to sign up for a 10 minute Audition/Musical Assessment session ). The choir rehearses weekly and sings at least bi-monthly at the 9:30 am Mass.
