This Friday, June 19, during 9 AM Mass, our parish will be consecrated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This act is important for us now as we navigate each new challenge of our times, not the least of which is the indifference and even hostility towards the loving God who created us.
As we read in Scripture, the Apostle John rested his head on the Heart of Christ during the Last Supper, the eve of the Passion; what better place for us to seek refuge in time of trial? What better way for us to console the afflicted Heart of our Savior?
I hope you will join in this Consecration, which will take place after three days of preparation and prayer at our Daily Masses. In you are unable to join in person, you can watch via live-stream or even pray the prayers on your own at home, uniting yourself to the prayer of our parish.
Sincerely Yours in Christ, Fr. Raymond McDaniel
