Andrew Kenney, a native of St. Louis, MO, holds a B.M. in Organ Performance from Webster University in St. Louis, and a M.M. in Organ Performance (with a minor in Choral Conducting) from the University of North Texas.
In 2011, he moved to Texas to begin serving as Director of Music and Organist at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lindsay. During his time at Lindsay, he began work establishing a music program for both adults and children. The Children's Choir has sung for various events in the Lindsay/Gainesville area and for Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Fort Worth.
While at UNT, Andrew was awarded 2015 Outstanding Graduate Student in Organ. In March 2015, he was awarded the 2nd Place Prize (Graduate Division) at the 44th Annual William Hall Competition in San Antonio, TX. Earlier this year, he returned to San Antonio and was awarded the 1st Place Prize (Graduate Division) in the same competition. He has given solo recitals in Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Kentucky, and St. Louis.
Andrew and his wife, Emma, have two sons, Leo and Charles, and are expecting their third child in late September. Andrew also enjoys reading, fishing, and roasting coffee.
