Do you want to do something to make a difference right here in our community? St. Philip’s has joined a group of 8 local churches to form FaithNet, an initiative to identify and assist people in need in the Lewisville and Flower Mound area.
Our first community outreach project as part of FaithNet is to provide and serve lunch on the second Sunday of each month at Salvation Army in Lewisville.
St. Philip’s has committed to providing 4 volunteers. Can you help? Our next opportunity to serve is this coming Sunday, March 12. Volunteers would need to arrive at the Salvation Army building by 12 Noon (lunch is served between 12:30-1:30 PM) and help with providing or preparing food, set-up/tear-down, serving meals, or visiting with guests.
Contact Social Outreach to volunteer or for more information: [email protected]or call 972-353-5756.
Not available this time, but interested? Let Social Outreach know! We are also looking to find out how many people would be willing to provide hands-on-help to people in our community that are experiencing issues due to poverty.
