If you were able to join us for Mass this weekend, you are already familiar with Fr. McDaniel's announcement regarding the Grand Opening of our new church, but we'd like to share it again with you here:
"We have an important update regarding our new church. Unfortunately, we have had to put the Countdown to the Grand Opening on hold.
Every week, the construction industry continues to see new shortages of skilled labor and materials, and longer lead times in manufacturing. This is mainly due to the over-saturated construction market, especially in our area, and COVID-induced supply chain issues. Unfortunately, we have not been immune to these problems in building our new home. While we hope to see some of these issues get better in the future, we continue to experience increased delays in our completion schedule right now.
What does this mean for our timeline? Because it’s difficult to predict these delays, we are going to be taking a much more conservative approach to our scheduling. Now, we hope to have the primary finish work done by the end of December. Then we will need about 60 days to install the pews and audio systems, complete the decorating, clean-up, get moved in, etc. That places our new Grand Opening towards the end of February.
