This parish social group has been formed to allow parishioners the opportunity to meet and interact with other parishioners in a social setting.
Who can join: Any registered member of St. Philip Parish and bring a spouse, family member, neighbor or friend to the dinner.
When: Once each month immediately following the 4PM Saturday evening Mass, starting October 8, 2016
Where: In the parish CLC
Why: To meet new and current parishioners and form a closer parish family. To go beyond a nod, handshake, or peace greeting at Mass. Where else can you eat, converse and get to know your fellow parishioners but at a dinner?
What do I have to bring: Once you register as a member you will receive an email invitation two weeks before the event to see if you will be attending. Upon your RSVP you will be assigned a menu course or staple to feed 8-10 people.
Do I Have to Cook: Your special dish is always welcome but there are professional chefs at the Bakeries and Food stores that are available to you also.
What if I can’t Come one Saturday: That’s okay as long as you let us know if you are coming or not when you receive an invitation so a menu can be planned for those who are attending.
When do I bring my assigned portion of the meal: Someone will be in the CLC before Mass and after Mass on the potluck Saturday to receive your portion of the dinner.
What Will The Menu Consist of: Appetizers and adult refreshments, Salad, Vegetable Dishes , Main Courses and Dessert.
I Have Young Children: Babysitting will be available but will require a sack dinner for the kids. Parents will be able to go out to dinner at the CLC and still have quality time for the kids right on the premises.
Our mission is to enjoy food and fellowship with all parishioners while experiencing caring, support and friendship within the St. Philip Parish Congregation.
