Our Religious Education ministries nourish and enhance our spiritual life, and provide active learning for all ages.  Click on a link on the right for the age group you are interested in, and any forms that are needed for participation.

Policy Statement
It is our policy at St. Philip that anyone wanting to enroll a student for our classes should be a registered parishioner.  In order to be given parishioner rates you must be registered here at St. Philip before the official first enrollment date of the program you are participating in; which means we must have an official parish registration card completed and on file. For those not registered at that date, a $60 non-parishioner fee per family will be applied. In addition, a late fee of $20 may apply if you are enrolling in a program after the formal enrollment dates have passed.
Consideration will be given to newly registered families who have moved into the Lewisville, Flower Mound area within 90 days prior to the enrollment date. Documentation of participation from your previous parish must be obtained and received in our office within two weeks of your enrollment in the program or the non-parishoner fee will be applied.

Financial Responsibility
Any parishioner in any parish should be contributing financially to support that parish.  If you wish to have your student enrolled in one of our religious education sessions, but you prefer to be registered and financially supporting another parish, there will be a separate fee for your student.

We also realize that not every family can give money to support a parish.  If this is the case with your family, please let us know.  All matters are kept confidential and no student will be turned away for inability to pay fees.

All Are Welcome
In the Religious Education department, we realize that all children learn differently, and that all children have their own individual needs.  If your child has a special learning difference, or needs classroom accommodation or curriculum modification, we need to be made aware of those needs.  By sharing this information, we can then modify class material, recruit additional classroom aides, or advise the catechist of your child's learning differences.  Please contact Kim Carr for more information.

Religious Education Tuition and Fees 2010-2011 (Little Shepherds through High School)

It is our policy that anyone wanting to sign up a student for our classes should be registered in the parish.

Elementary Tuition:  $40 per student
Little Shepherds:  $60 per student (not Little Apostles Nursery School)
Middle School (EDGE) Tuition:  $50 per student
High School (SPY) Tuition:  $70 per student
Sacrament Preparation:  $30 per sacrament

Late Fee:  $20 per family (after August enrollment dates)
Non-parishioner Surcharge:  $60 per family (if space is available)

Retreat Fees:  To be determined

Tuition and Fees are non-refundable.  

Important Notice
Safe Environment Training Required for all Support Staff/Volunteers
Anyone having contact with our children and youth in Religious Education is required to attend a Diocese of Fort Worth Safe Environment Training Session, "Called To Protect," attend a refresher every three years, and submit to a criminal background check.  Sessions are held throughout the year at St. Philip, or you may attend a session at another parish in our Diocese.  Call the office for additional details.
