Fat Tuesday Celebration
There are many traditions throughout the world regarding the day before Ash Wednesday, which is known as Fat Tuesday. It is called this in reference to eating special foods before the fasting season of Lent. One of the oldest traditions is to eat pancakes on this day. Pancakes are associated with the day preceding Lent because it was a way to use up rich foodstuff, such as eggs, milk and sugar, before the fasting season. So to carry on this tradition, Father John and the Staff of St. Philip would like to invite the entire Parish Community to a Celebration of Fat Tuesday
February 16 between 5:00-7:30 pm Community Life Center Wear your Mardi Gras colors and come enjoy a free
